All our classes are conducted in English, and our children enjoy a small student-teacher ratio. Location and Background

Noddy by Elizabeth was established in 1978 by Mrs. Elizabeth, the owner and founder, after she saw the need for a quality preschool in Bangkok, initially catering to the expatriate community and expanding to Thai families as well. As a leading international preschool, Noddy by Elizabeth operates under a license from The Department of Child Welfare of Thailand.

Noddy by Elizabeth is located in a cul-de-sac in a prime residential area of Bangkok (YenAkart/Sathorn), right in the CBD close to various embassies, business headquarters, and offices. Along with the growth of the AEC (Asian Economic Community), the demand for international education has increased, and so has our preschool, which prepares children for entry to the prime international schools.

Pupils

With approximately 75 children ranging in age from 18 months to 6 years, Noddy by Elizabeth admits both boys and girls of all nationalities and religious backgrounds. Our multicultural environment creates a vibrant school culture where children learn the values of inclusivity and respect.

With our solid preschool foundation and collaborations, many of our children move on to premier international schools, such as Shrewsbury International School Bangkok, King’s College International School Bangkok, St. Andrews International School Bangkok, and Garden International School Bangkok, among others. Some students move on to prestigious Thai schools, such as Mater Dei School, St. Joseph Convent School, Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School, and more.

Curriculum

Noddy by Elizabeth follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This British curriculum focuses on the five areas of learning: Personal, social, and emotional development (PSED), Communication and language (CL), and Physical development (PD).

We use the Free-Flow-Play technique which may also be regarded as ‘Learn through Play’, allowing children to lead their own activities with close observation and guidance from the teachers. This child-led learning approach will enable students to broaden their imagination and creativity and help build their self-confidence. This technique fosters children’s interests and ensures that learning is engaging, meaningful, and fun.

Our classes are conducted in English, enabling children to develop their English language skills at a young age.

Staff

We have a team of full-time staff comprising a head teacher, 9 class teachers, 3 specialised teachers (for PE, Swimming, and Music), and 12 teaching assistants. All our staff are qualified and carefully screened by our founder, Mrs. Elizabeth, who has over 40 years of experience in running a preschool. With decades of experience, we at Noddy by Elizabeth are passionate about providing the highest standards of early childhood education to meet the unique needs of each student. Moreover, our teachers are always available to listen to and give advise to you both within the school’s curriculum and at home.

School Facilities

The campus has two purpose-built buildings, a rubber-surfaced playground, a library house, and an indoor playroom. The main three-storey building accommodates classrooms for Nursery up to K2 age groups, with a gymnasium and an assembly hall on the third floor. The main building also has classrooms for cooking and arts & crafts, and a sick bay area. The second building is used for the Year 1 age group.

All our classrooms are uniquely set up by the class teachers to provide the right learning environment for each age group. The classrooms have a study area, a reading and storytime corner, and a role-play corner. The K2 and Year 1 classrooms are equipped with various learning tools, such as interactive whiteboards for digital applications.
